Types of Information Lightcast.com Collects:
When you access one of the Lightcast.com sites or apps, we may collect personally identifiable information from you when you voluntarily submit this information to us. Examples of personally identifiable information may include your name; email address, phone number, user name, password. mailing address, and other information such as payment or credit card information. We may also collect other information when you access our Site. “Other Information” is any information that does not reveal your specific identity or does not directly relate to an individual. Other Information may include the type of device you are using, your IP address, the geographic location of your device (e.g., zip code or county), your operating system, the type of Internet browser that you use, usage information, diagnostic information and other data that allow us to improve our applications and serve you better, demographic information and other information provided by you, and aggregated information.
- Email correspondence to Leads and Clients is entirely based on voluntary provision of email contact details by Leads and Clients. Newsletters are opt-in mailinglists and opt-out functions are plain, clear and easy to use.
- The information gathered by Lightcast.com may also include information gathered on usage patterns and preferences as the User navigates through Lightcast.com’s sites, apps and/ or uses the Services. An agent or affiliate of Lightcast.com may, at times and on being so authorized, collect information on behalf of Lightcast.com. Third party providers featured on or linked to by the Lightcast.com sites, such as vendors of products and services offered through the sites, may be gathering the same kinds of information.
- Any personal information or video content that the User voluntarily upload becomes publicly available and, depending on the User's sharing preferences, may be collected and used by others via player embed codes, provided the User makes the player embed code visible.
- How Lightcast.com Responds to Do Not Track Signals:
We may partner with third-party service providers to serve ads regarding goods or services that may be of interest to you when you access and use the Site and third party-sites. Some of the ads on this Site or on third party sites may be personalized, meaning that they are intended to be relevant to you based on what we or the online advertising network serving the ad know about you or your computer’s browsing activity on both the Site and third-party sites. To do so, these companies may place or recognize a unique cookie on your browser (including through the use of pixel tags).

These opt-out mechanisms rely on cookies to remember your choices. If you delete your cookies, use another computer or device, or change browsers, you will need to repeat this process. In addition, opting out of interest-based ads will not opt you out of all ads, but rather only those ads that are personalized to your interests.
Storage Of Information
Any information provided by Users, Clients, Leads to Lightcast.com shall be stored and held under generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect the Users personally identifiable information from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. All data is stored in the Lightcast.com proprietary CRM database. Only authorized personnel are permitted access to the User information and these personnel are required to treat this information as confidential. Despite these precautions, Lightcast.com cannot guarantee that any and all unauthorized access to the Users information will be prevented.
Usage Of Information
Lightcast.com uses IP address information for systems administration, statistics tracking and troubleshooting purposes. This information is also used to deliver web pages to the User upon request; to tailor the site to the interests of the users and to measure traffic within the Lightcast.com site.
Any personally identifiable information provided by the User is used to operate, maintain, and provide the User with the features and functionality of the Lightcast.com sites.
Lightcast.com does not use the Users email address or other personally identifiable information to send commercial or marketing messages without the Users consent except as part of a program or feature for which the User may exercise an option to not receive such messages. Lightcast.com may, however, use the Users email address without further consent for non-marketing or administrative purposes. Lightcast.com may use both personally identifiable information and certain non-personally- identifiable information to improve the quality and design of the Services and to create new features, promotions, functionality, and services by storing, tracking, and analyzing User preferences and trends.
Disclosure Of Information
- Third Parties:
Lightcast.com does not share the Users personally identifiable information with third- party companies or organizations for their commercial or marketing use without the Users express consent except as part of a specific program or feature for which the User has the ability to opt-in or opt-out. Lightcast.com may share non-personally-identifiable information with interested third-parties to assist them in understanding the usage patterns for certain content, services, advertisements, promotions, and/or functionality on the Lightcast.com sites and the Services. Lightcast.com may use the information to present offers to the User on behalf of business partners and advertisers. These business partners and advertisers may receive aggregate data about groups of Lightcast.com but do not receive information that personally identifies the User.
- Transactions/Requests With Third Parties:

Much of the information Lightcast.com collects is in the form of aggregated statistics, such as the traffic that visits various pages within the Services, the habits and preferences of the audience, etc. Such aggregated information does not include any personally identifiable information and Lightcast.com may use such aggregated information and/ or disclose it to third parties as it deems fit.
- Your California Privacy Rights:
California law permits our established customers who are California residents to request information regarding the manner in which Lightcast.com shares certain categories of your personal information with third parties, for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. California law provides that you have the right to submit a request to Lightcast.com at its designated address and receive the following information:
- The categories of information Lightcast.com disclosed to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year;
- The names and addresses of third parties that received such information; and
- If the nature of a third party’s business cannot be reasonably determined from the third party’s name, examples of the products or services marketed.
You are entitled to receive a copy of this information in a standardized format and the information will not be specific to you individually. Lightcast.com’s designated email address for such requests is Privacy@Lightcast.com.com . We reserve our right not to respond to requests submitted to addresses other than the addresses specified in this paragraph.
Security Of Information
Lightcast.com uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of User information. Lightcast.com, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to Lightcast.com by the User and is transmitted at the Users own risk. Once Lightcast.com receives the transmission of information, Lightcast.com makes commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the security of its systems. However, Lightcast.com cannot a guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.
If Lightcast.com becomes aware of a security systems breach, then Lightcast.com may attempt to notify the User electronically so that the User can take appropriate protective steps or may post a notice on the Lightcast.com sites. Depending on where the User resides, the User may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing. To receive a free written notice of a security breach (or to withdraw consent from receiving electronic notice) the User should notify Lightcast.com using the contact form.
The User may decline to submit personally identifiable information through the Lightcast.com sites, in which case Lightcast.com may not be able to provide certain services. If the User opts to register with and provide information to Lightcast.com, the User will have the opportunity to unsubscribe, review, update, or delete the information provided at any time. If the User opts to remove registration information completely, the User may not be able to continue using certain services that require registration.
To protect the Users privacy and security, Lightcast.com takes reasonable steps (such as requesting a unique password) to verify the Users identity before granting profile access or making corrections. The User is responsible for maintaining the secrecy of the unique password and account information at all times. It is clarified that media files uploaded by Users to the Lightcast.com sites and the Services cannot be removed and remain subject to the TOU.
Lightcast.com websites are not intentionally designed for or directed at persons less than 18 years of age. Lightcast.com does not knowingly permit any person who is under 18 years of age to register with the Services or to provide any other personally identifying information. Any person under 18 years of age visiting the Lightcast.com sites is prohibited from accessing or using the Services in any manner and at any time. If Lightcast.com becomes aware that any personally identifiable information of persons less than 18 years of age has been collected on the Lightcast.com sites without verified parental consent, then Lightcast.com will take the appropriate steps to delete any such information.
Change In Control
In the event that Lightcast.com is acquired by or merged with a third party entity, Lightcast.com reserves the right, in any of these circumstances, to transfer or assign the information collected from the Users as part of such merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control. In the event of bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, receivership, or assignment for the benefit of creditors, or the application of laws or equitable principles affecting creditors’ rights generally, Lightcast.com may not be able to control how the your personal information is treated, transferred, or used.
