New in the Media Cloud: AI Powered Thumbnail Generator

This smart feature automatically creates stunning, AI-crafted thumbnails for your video and audio files once they finish encoding - helping your media stand out across your Media Cloud, Apps, and Channels.
How it Works
- New clients: AI Thumbnail Generation is enabled by default and will create a thumbnail automatically.
- Existing clients: The feature is disabled by default but can easily be activated in Media → Media Settings.
Important Details
- The AI Thumbnail will only be generated if a title and description are set for the media item - so make sure those fields are filled in.
- Any images manually uploaded or imported from third-party sources (e.g., LightcastAPI or MRSS feeds) are preserved and never overwritten.
- You can manually change or replace an AI-generated thumbnail at any time.
New Thumbnail Selector
Alongside this update, we’ve released an all-new Thumbnail Selector, giving you complete flexibility:
- Choose between your AI-generated, auto-generated, or custom-uploaded thumbnails.
- Preview your thumbnails in full size via the new enlarged view before making your selection.
