New in the Media Cloud: SRT Ingestion Points

We’re excited to announce the addition of SRT Ingestion Points to your Media Cloud!

Why It Matters

  • SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) is an alternative to RTMP and offers stronger, more stable connections, especially over unpredictable networks or long distances.

  • It is available for all Lightcast plans


Where To Find It

  • You can find your SRT Server URLs directly inside the “STREAM” tab of any live channel — displayed in a brand-new “SRT Ingestion” sub-tab.

  • Simply copy one of the URLs into your encoder’s SRT server address field and connect to the nearest CDN access point (POP) for optimal performance.

  • Start using SRT today to enjoy greater reliability, lower latency, and smoother live broadcasts.

  • Log in to your Media Cloud and check it out under any Live Channel’s STREAM tab!
